2012 Brown Bag Concert Series Application
The Salt Lake City Arts Council announces that the
application for the Brown Bag Concert Series is now
available. The free lunch hour concerts are presented in
public parks and plazas downtown weekdays in August. The
deadline for submitting an application is Friday,
March 9.

Finch Lane Gallery Call for Entries
Applications are now available for visual artists who
would like their work to be considered for exhibitions
scheduled January through November 2013 in the Finch Lane
Gallery. Completed applications, accompanied by images of
the artist's work, are due at the Arts Council office by
Monday, March 12. Selection criteria
includes artistic quality, diversity in media and balance
in the exhibits presents.

2012-2013 Arts Learning Grant
The Salt Lake City Arts Council announces that the
guidelines and application for the Arts Learning grant, a
category of the City Arts Grants program, are now
available. The deadline for submitting an
application is Friday, April 13, 2012.

The

Winter Newsletter Available
The Salt Lake City Arts Council's Winter newsletter,
"54 Finch Lane," is now available. Included in this
quarterly issue is information about the annual Holiday
Craft Exhibit & Sale, upcoming exhibitions, recently
awarded City Arts Grants and a citywide arts calendar
listing nearly 175 arts events - many free to the public -
scheduled December through February.

SLC Arts Council's Annual Report for FY 2010-2011
The Salt Lake City Arts Council announces the release
of the inaugural Annual Report for FY
2010-2011. Coinciding with the SLC Arts Council's 35th
year of programming, the report details and illustrates
the activities and achievements occurring between July
2010 and June 2011. Click on the link below to view

categories, community information assistance and management
of a cultural facility. Also included are acknowledgements
of individuals, sponsors and partners who contributed to a
successful year.

Salt Lake City Named in Top 25 Arts Destinations
Salt Lake City has been named a "Top 25 Arts Destination"
in the June 2011 edition of AmericanStyle magazine. For
the sixth year in a row, the national arts lifestyle
magazine has recognized Salt Lake City as one of the top
travel destinations for the arts in the category of mid-size cities.
